Trapped inside your own dark subconscious
Go To Sleep is a premium psychological horror game that puts you inside a nightmare you can’t easily escape. Played from a first-person perspective, it blends slow-building storytelling, tension-filled moments, and point-and-click mechanics. Your ultimate goal is to survive long enough to hear your alarm ring.
When sleep becomes a battlefield
In Go To Sleep, you play as a young teen whose dream turns into a distorted version of reality. You find yourself trapped inside your room, where familiar surroundings slowly take on a darker meaning. The story revolves around your struggle against a “demon” born from guilt and regret. Helping you along is Nubby, a small plush toy that warns you of nearby danger.
Using point-and-click mechanics, you interact with your surroundings—use of flashlights or listening for clues—to fend off your pursuer. The challenge lies in balancing rest and vigilance; close your eyes too long, and the demon strikes. It's worth noting that some sequences may feel overwhelming for sensitive players, as the fear factor can be too visceral.
Chilling but cleverly crafted
Overall, Go To Sleep delivers a gripping blend of horror and suspense through its intimate setting and slow-building tension. It makes strong use of atmosphere, minimalism, and pacing to evoke genuine unease. It’s not for everyone, especially if you dislike heavy horror elements, but it succeeds in being a disturbingly immersive experience.
